End of Year eLections
April 9th, 2026
ACM held its end of year elections to select the next student leadership team. JM Claudio was elected President, Gabe Brown was elected Vice President, Christopher Flores was elected Secretary, and Elijah Jung was elected Treasurer. After the elections, members celebrated the club’s accomplishments, recognized graduating officers, and reflected on the events and projects completed throughout the year.
GPS-Less Navigation
March 12th, 2026
Led by AIAA President Naven Buslo O'Shaughnessy and ACM Secretary JM Claudio, ACM partnered with AIAA to explore quantum computing and its potential use in GPS less navigation. Students learned how quantum technologies could support more accurate and reliable navigation in aerospace and engineering applications.
Valentines Scratch-an-E-Card
February 12th, 2026
ACM President Kristian Chappell hosted a Valentine’s themed workshop where students used Scratch to create interactive electronic cards. Participants practiced basic programming concepts while designing personalized animations, messages, and effects.
Robotoics Workshop
February 6th, 2026
Hosted by Emmanuel Villanueva and Kyle Henikman, this workshop prepared students for the annual School of Engineering Robotics Competition. Participants learned how to use Arduino, navigate the Arduino IDE, upload starter code, understand how the robots operate, and complete basic wiring for motors, sensors, and other components.
Christmas Computer Ornaments
December 5th, 2025
ACM hosted a holiday themed Arduino workshop where students learned the basics of circuit wiring and LED programming using mini development boards. Participants programmed their LEDs to create decorative light patterns and assembled their own electronic ornaments. Students were able to take their creations home and hang them on their Christmas trees. Hot chocolate with marshmallows and cookies were also provided to create a festive atmosphere.
Data Science Event
November 13th, 2025
ACM hosted an introductory data science event where students learned how data can be collected, organized, analyzed, and visualized. Participants explored how programming and data science tools can be used to identify patterns, communicate information, and solve real world problems.
CHess TOurnament
October 7th, 2025
ACM hosted a chess tournament where students competed in organized matches against other members of the college community. The tournament welcomed players of different experience levels and encouraged strategic thinking, problem solving, friendly competition, and student involvement.
Spaghetti Tower Competition
October 2nd, 2025
Students worked in teams to design and build the tallest freestanding tower using spaghetti and a limited selection of materials. The competition challenged participants to apply creativity, teamwork, communication, and basic engineering design principles while working under time and material constraints.
What’s in Your Computer?
September 23rd, 2025
ACM partnered with ASME and IEEE to give students a hands on introduction to computer hardware. Participants explored components such as the motherboard, processor, memory, storage drives, graphics card, power supply, and cooling system while learning how each part contributes to the operation of a computer. Students also practiced building personal computers using Raspberry Pi boards and gained experience connecting the hardware needed to create a working system.
First General Meeting
September 4th, 2025
ACM introduced its officers, shared the events planned for the school year, and explained the different ways students could get involved. The meeting also gave students an opportunity to meet new people, network with one another, and begin building a stronger community within the organization
